GRASS LAKE, MI — Wages have been frozen for six Grass Lake Community Schools administrators as part of newly approved two-year contracts.

The contracts were unanimously approved Monday, July 14, by the Grass Lake school board. The contracts run through June 30, 2016.

The contracts are for Elementary Principal Michelle Clark, Assistant Elementary Principal Alaina Allison, High School Principal Brian Thompson, Assistant High School Principal/Athletic Director Eric McCalla, Middle School Principal Jeanene Satterthwaite and Transportation/Community Services Director Doug Moekel.

Grass Lake Superintendent Brad Hamilton said the pay freeze for each of the administrators was "mutually agreed upon."

The salaries for the six are:

Elementary Asst. Principal

Middle School Principal

High School Principal

Asst. High School Principal/Athletic Director

Community Ed/Transportation Director

Hamilton said he is pleased to have the entire group under contract for two more years.

"We have a great administrative staff," Hamilton said. "They're passionate about education and what's right for kids."

The board also voted to renew the contract of Technology Coordinator Matt Maynard for one year. Maynard is employed jointly by Grass Lake Community Schools and the Jackson Intermediate School District.
